Roger,
I feel that there might be a few more people in the forum in our shoes.
I am not afraid to admit that I don't have as good an understanding
about the CNC machine as I would like, but hey, that's the main focus of
this group, to help those like myself and you to understand. Believe me
Roger, the help that I have gotten from this group since I joined May
1st., has far outweighed anything that I could have brought from any
webpage. You can't get the same interaction or networking on a website
that you can here with the actual members having their own setups and
experiences. Yes, I have an extensive background in manual
machining(tool maker), and manual and CAD drafting, but left all that to
go into commercial aviation. Now I want to enjoy this field again with
some friends making model plane parts with a CNC CO2 powered laser
cutter, and a small CNC mill to machine the 3D blanks for fiber glassing
of parts.
I am glad that I have found this group and will be a member here for a
long time to come. There is still a wealth of knowledge that I need to
learn about to get the results that I am aiming for from my system(s) to
come, and this I feel will be the place that I will learn that
expertise.
Glad I have met most of you, thanks again.
Regards,
Don Hughes
