Both Analog devices and TI have DSPs that will do what you want and they
aren't that expensive. I have been staring at this problem for years now,
and
it keeps getting easier and easier. At a very minimum, the motor control
section
of those two companies' web sites would be a good start.
The TI '240x in particular are some very attractive chips. In fact they
almost have
too much stuff on them. But in particular, they have a lot of PWM outputs.
Also the AD DASH series is a 28 pin dip that can do 3phase pwm, and it may
be easier to develop for.
