The following is the requirement:-
1. size about 2.5"x2.5"x0.75", shape and dimension not
too strict..
3. need a small lid which I can open and change my 9V
battery.
5. need a hole of diameter 0.5" on one of the surface >

I measured the "terminal box" for the telephone "connector" via which
this message will be sent and its dimension is a little under 2" x a
little over 2" x 0.75", estimated cost USD1. I am sure if this is
undersize, you can find some other "standard" enclosure of similar
sizes available off the shelf
Regarding the hole, I just purchase a Chinese drill press 1/2HP 16mm
(0.63") capacity for USD80 which should be able to drill that 0.5"
hole into any enclosure you manage to get your hands on. I punched a
nice round CLEAN 2" hole in a metal box with the drill press and a
less than USD10 "hole saw", and I am no mechanical man. Sure beat
trying to make holes with a handdrill or dremel, and the darn thing
cost less than the rickety drill press for the dremel. Any Chinese
mill-drill basher on the list???
My only regret, I didn't get one earlier, and I had to chose this
USD89 drill press over the under USD800 RF31 manual mill because of
mobility/weight considerations. If only that Chinese drill press came
with an xy table like the one I saw on the website of HF or Enco or
something. Where do they source these mini drill-mill?
And add in my appreciation for Mariss for making servos affordable.
Are you sure you are not Chinese?
