@$#%&* Installation!!!!

GRRRRR!!!!

Just when I thought the hazing was about to let up just a little!!! I
thought I had rtlinux and emc installed properly but..... Not so. I
was lulled into a happy state of triumph when I got the emc simulation
running and could press buttons and get the screen to change the numbers
and such. However-- When I actually ran the emc program it wouldn't
work. Something about rtl-sched.?? not found and something else causing
errors. I couldn't find the few files it asked for either. Do they not
come with Tim Goldstiens patch script or do I have to get them somewhere
else? Are they perhaps lost in my system somewhere? Maybe I need a
symbolic link? If this keeps up my computer may just die of shaken
computer syndrome!!

Is there an installable cdrom with everything ready to go anywhere?
During installation a configuration picking dialog box could have
several choices like: 1. "Workstation installation" 2. "Minimum
installation" 3. "Workstation plus commercial" 4. "RTLinux for EMC
installation" Or perhaps just one choice: "Install RTLinux 2.0.36 for
an EMC installation" This is not impossible is it?

BTW, Caldera recently released their Lizard installation wizard for easy
linux installation as open source. It made my life much easier. Even
if I completely screw up my system I can have a fresh installation with
no pain in about 20 minutes. RedHat 5.2 always screws up the video part
of my installation. LIZARD always gets it right. Same computer... Why?
