Cables Connecting Stepper Motors to Driver Circuit

on 2001-09-19 11:56:24 UTC
I am in the process of converting my Sherline mill to CNC, using Camtronics
2A driver board and Shereline's motors (6V/2A) and need advice on what
cables to use to connect the motors to the driver board enclosure. I am
considering using D-Sub 9 connectors. My question is, will the typical
computer cable carry suffient current to safely power the motors or should I
use heavier gauge wire? The stepper motor leads are 22AWG. Recommendations
on alternative connectors will also be appreciated.

TIA
