Hi Dan,
For 2A, I'm using D-sub 15 connectors, and 18 or 20AWG wire. Separate
strands, not computer "ribbon cable". I put these in some "slip on"
plastic flexible armor. The pins are fine for 2A. I have OLD stepper
driver boxes ('74) with this connector/pinout, and I like the extra pins
(also had a bunch of connectors!).
Molex connectors are also used for such. You might want to follow Dan's
(Camtronics) motor connector pinouts (don't know if he's published
them). I believe he may be working on a stepper "box".
I'd keep the limit, home and Sense switch signals AWAY from the motor
wire bundles. It should be OK to share the same connector, 'tho.
