Alan,
Those are the ubiquitous XLR connectors. They will also work fine.
I use them commercially for audio and DC power to Network systems and
filmographer tripod head drives (customer specified).
The only thing I don't care for is the large and long cable mounted
connector but, may consider them in the future for CNC drives.
There are many manufacturers of this style. Check out the "Neutrik" line
where they have a "universal" style chassis mount. More compact.
