Will the diagrams below describe what you are saying, the second
diagram (8 wires) getting 2% better performance despite having
current flowing in both coils as compared with current flowing only
in 1 coil in the first (6 wire) diagram?
And the third diagram (8 wires, full winding) should carry only 0.5
unipolar current rating? And current rating printed on 6-wires
stepper motors are alway unipolar current rating?
