RE: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] Stepper Power supplies

I have a few large transformers left. The output is around 48v full bridge
25amp. I have not gotten the output caps yet. Price $50 includes shipping.
These are used battery chargers. I can send pictures if you like.

I have 3 Sigma 5 Amp steppers that I plan to drive with Geko drives.
With my very limited knowledge of electronics and steppers, I have
figured that I will need a power supply with an output of
40-60vdc/20-25amp. A used Lambda within this range goes for whopping
$1200+. Am I looking for power in all the wrong places or do I need
to ask for a raise?
