Re: variable V power supply

Mariss: "Your choice of power supply voltage should be based on this
limit for a high speed application (3K to 10K full steps per second).
For a medium speed application (<3K steps per second), use 10 times
the motor's rated voltage for a supply. For low speed applications (<
1K full steps per second) use 4-5 times the motor voltage. You do
that and you will be OK."

When considering speed, are we concerned only/mainly with G00 or with
linear/circular interpolation, or both together?

Would it be correct to say that since G00 is the highest speed, it is
the determining factor as to whether an application is
low/medium/high?

Or is it linear/circular interpolation that we should be concerned
with as that is when resistance is highest?

ANOTHER QUESTION:

What is the maximum safe rpm for the x-, y- and z-axis Sherline
leadscrew? I understand that beyond a certain rpm, there is danger of
damage to the system.

ONE MORE QUESTION:

I understand that there is a very small minority of Flashcut user on
the list. Is the Flashcut stepper controller unipolar/bipolar/chopper?

Thanks
