Why don't you just turn one and then you can actually hold it in your
hand.
'Twill be cheaper and faster than modelling it, and you get a lot more
information about whether you like it or not.
If you're concerned about material costs, then use birch or maple for your
tests.
Cuts nicely, and is cheap compared to brass.
Turning a profile like you describe shouldn't take more than a couple of
minutes.
