supply stores - usually pink or blue in color. For wing sections
which will be sheeted with balsa or thin plywood and have inset spars,
the lighter white foam might be used.
The 'almost ready to fly' planes are made out of expanded pellets
molded to shape.
Sig (maker of many airplane kits) used to list quite a variety of
materials in their catalog (latest I have is probably early 90's) Many
hobby shops would likely be willing to special order anything in it.
I don't know if you can order directly from them - I seem to remember
they tried to encourage you to go to a local shop (I remember
referencing the nationwide directory of hobby shops in that catalog
while on family trips as a kid, and begging to stop at everything near
our route).
