Hi Nelson,
I use superglue a lot for holding small parts and I have seen it used
industrially for big ones. If the part is metal, you are better to warm it
up to separate it as when its warm (just about too hot to touch) the glue
lets go. This avoids distorting the part by trying to lever it off. It is,
however, also a consideration when machining in that you need to keep the
work relatively cool if you want to avoid the part flying off across the
shop. A couple of jig pins or a fixed edge are good to keep the work in the
right lateral position. Both surfaces also need to be clean and flat before
you use the superglue and it is a good idea to wipe them over with Acetone
first.
