Thanks. I've seen the details in the files section. I have even
started to build one but the problem I have is two fold.
[1] I don't want to use unsealed switches.
[2] I need nested commands like Cntrl F6, Shift page down etc to be
on one key.
If I use a sealed 4x 4 tactile membrane keypad the leads come off as
ABCD, 1234
Top key will be A1, diagonal bottom key will be D4 etc
Although I can link these to an old keyboard chip I can't determine
the layout of the pad and I can't nest keys.
This chip works by being able to be programmed from the original
keyboard. Once it's programmed you can even remove the original
keyboard.
The X keys chip has 96 programmable keys that can each use three
keystrokes, or you can allocate one key as a shift key and use two
layers giving 190 programmable keys.
I'll keep the list informed as I go along.
