Welcome to the group Matt.
I can guarantee the answer to your question from this group. You not only
should, your life is just not complete if you don't turn that Sherline into
a CNC machine! I started by converting a Sherline mill to CNC and now I have
a 5000+ lbs CNC Bridgeport in my garage. So be warned, this is addictive.
My first suggestion is go to the group FAQ ( FAQ:
http://www.ktmarketing.com/faq.html ) and start reading there. Make sure
you go to the list of group links at the bottom of the FAQ page and follow
the ones that are listed as more general type info. We will all be glad to
help you but it is easier to respond to specific questions. The FAQ should
get you going.
