After much searching, considering my needs, examining just how much excess
"housing" was in the way of each available router head, (ya want to keep the
spindle as close to the Z axis don't ya know.....) It is the one I found very
nice. Excellent speed control, Nice useable dimensions, and one of the nicest
fixed router bases I ever have seen. Too bad I seldom take it off and use it
that way. One thing I added was a simple plastic shield under it so it did no
blow air straight down on what I am cutting (it's the little black ring
underneath in the photos.
Sure, we would all like to have a high frequency unit, but we don't all have
that kind of money !!!
