Porter Cable model 7539 is a 3.25 HP 5 Speed 15 amp
***Plunge Router*****

I'm making the distinction between round tubular mounts
vs other mounts (like plunge routers). Some plunge routers
have removable bases (revealing a tubular mount), but the
PC 7539 is not like that.

The long circular 'snout' on the PC 7518 (like the
2 HP Bosch 1617EVS 12 amp) I feel is more conducive
to mounting in a cnc router carriage (because the
whole round surface gives good holding rigidity,
the center of gravity is below the carriage mount,
and gets the bit 'way out there'.

Its not that the 7539 and similar plunge router-type
bases won't work, but they seem less ideal (in my mind).
