I haven't tried my probe yet, but that bit about the g-code is nice to know!
It would take a bit of work but you could transfer the XYZ co-ordinates
provided by the software into a 3D CAD program as points to generate the
grid you need.

If you get a program written that would allow the user to generate a 3D
surface which can be imported into Rhino or ?? for enlarging/reducing, let
me know...I'm sure to be interested.
