Dave,
I used the E3, the E2 is for shaft sizes up to .394" and
I have .5" shaft. You may need the -H option which is a
hole in the cover for the shaft to stick through if it is too
long. I missed that and had to drill my own hole in the cover.
If you are using a Gecko, don't be tempted to get too high
of a resolution as it will require too many steps per second
from the computer. Depends what your leadscrew lead is.
I used 500 cpr which works out to 2000 ppr after quadratue.
multiply that times 5 revs per inch of the screws and you
can see the numbers climb really high. Get them too high
and either EMC will choke or it will affect your top speed.
If youy have one of those gigahertz computers this may
not be a problem. I am using an AMD 450 with 64 meg
