First, Happy Holidays to all.
Second, FWIW, my Bridgeport Series I CNC retrofit is sitting on the
back burner, have everything now, just need to get a couple
projects off the front burner.
Lastly, I seem to remember some mention of some of you
automating at least the X axis feed on your surface grinders. I
recently aquired a Brown & Sharpe Micromaster 618. Its the
manual version. This unit has a cogged belt that runs from from
end to end of the table and drops down between a pair of sheaves
and then around a cogged pulley on the X axis feed wheel.
Just looking for possible ideas on at least getting power X feed and
maybe even Y.
I know this bunch is full of ideas!
