I'm using the Porter Cable Laminate trimmer for a spindle motor and
being not happy with their collet I made a very short adapter to fit a
collet holder from a air driven grinder. The bur bits that I use have
a length of 7". At first I was worried about run out but it turns out
the gyro effect keeps the bit stable. Of course I'm only milling 2 lbs
foam so I don't have to contend with climbing. However some of the
foam cores that I need to mill are denser I am now in need of a better
system. Has anyone used Dremel's quarter inch head that attaches to
their flex cable? I used their 1/8 inch one but wasn't happy with run
out. Probably just build my own setup
