Murray, I use Scan2Cad www.softcover.com which is an located in the UK
and has a rep in the Carolinas. For the price, it does a good job with the
drawings. OCR isn't great, but then most of the drawings that I have to
convert are OLD handdrawn blueprints that are terrible candidates to scan
and try to vectorize. However I had to do one today that looked almost
black (E size drawing) and did a reasonable conversion in less than 6
hours. Still need to clean it up and replace some line, but would have
taken at least a week to redraw.
YMMV, but this one does work.
