Doug: A stepper-motor will happily reverse/forward all day without
overheating, so long as you do all the electricals per the way it
done-sposedtabe did. You don't need a PC to generate the pulses, if you
use a driver with a built-in oscillator, and some kind of single-IC S-R
lashup, etc. Limit switches would be necessary if you don't want a computer
to "do the math", etc.
