Given the NIST developed system's rather unique place in the scheme of
things, I would think that was a given for one in your position, or who
is considering upgrading a machine with an old controller or building a
nice gantry router (both of which have crossed my mine - those thoughts
are why I'm here on this list). It has a lot of potential, open source
code, can run on an inexpensive computer, and it runs in a good
operating system for the application that is net workable for good file
management on the CAD/CAM computer.

Some on here have made it work very well.

Near as I can tell it has a lot of promise.
