Thanks Ballendo, that helps a lot... <g>

Actually, I forgot to provide the story behind that photo. Once I put
the table back on the saddle and installed all the X-axis hardware, I
realized that I didn't tighten up the bolts securing the X-axis
ballnut mount to the table. I normally can do this from the underside
of the bench (I drilled some holes to fit my long T-handle Allen
wrenches) but the darn Y-axis screw was in the way. I knew the only
way to get to the bolts was to remove the Y ballscrew, so I started
doing this, pushing the cardboard tube into the ballnut as I
retracted the screw. Unfortunately the tube caught on something and I
heard a "click" as a ball dropped out. D'oh! At that point I had no
choice but to remove the nut, reload it and start over. Problem was,
I didn't want to tear down the X-axis since it meant dealing with
another ballscrew removal. My solution was to pull out the handy
Sawzall and cut a big hole in my bench under the mill. This allowed
me easy access to the nut, which I removed and reloaded. I used a
clean jar to catch all the balls.

This leads me to another question regarding lubrication, but I'll
post it in a new thread.
