Alan,

That's probably a good idea, but I can't imagine using my mill enough
to create periodic wear problems. Nonetheless, it's probably good
practice. I suppose I'll use non-integer ratios on my next devious
project.

Motors are Sanyo-Denki steppers, 477 in-oz of torque. More than
enough for my mill, but I may transplant them to a "heavier" project
in the future. ;)
