Sorry Smoke, how's this a 4.25" radius... the cube only measures 3"
cubed? :)

But I think you're right about the mill part... it's seemingly a lot
easier to have 5 cylinders cut out per side with a MILL, than have it
cut out with a lathe.

Still though, the effect is causing a conversation none the less... its
a nice conversation piece...

Yep....they use a curved profile end mill specifically made to cut a
4.25"
radius...just like you mentioned below. In fact I could make the part
(as
it appears to me) without using CNC at all right on my bridgeport. I
vote
for the mill :)
