This and similar posts from others are interesting as, when I put the cards
in the windows machine, it seemed to have a vague idea about them as I got
the message - driver for EtherExpress 16 not found. The cards say on them
'Intel 8/16 LAN Adapter' and refer to 'Ethernet Address' so I installed the
'Intel EtherExpress 16 or 16TP' from the Windows 95 CD. However, the machine
still refused to recognise that the card was present and so I gave up.
Perhaps I should have tried harder but, as I want at least one of them for a
linux machine, I thought that, if windows wouldn't do it, I was unlikely to
be able to coax linux to recognise them.
