Yes Dave but the coast of New York is a lot more than 100 miles of
the coast of LA.
The point I was trying to make over to John H was that we have got it
easier here in the UK with being smaller. He just needs to get out
and start looking in the UK and not on Ebay at US purchases he can't
do anything with.
BTW if you see a Bridgeport with Heidenhain on it for $1500 grab it
as the spares people will pay more than that for the controller.
I bought a old CNC retrofit lathe last year for 400 pounds. I got 800
pounds for the controller. 200 pounds each for the two servo's, 100
pounds for the ball screws and 250 pounds for the turret. Scrapped
the rest.
