doubt the biggest tooling _give-away_ I've ever seen. When people aren't
watching there are new looking surface grinders and millers going for a few
hundred dollars. Some of the things that go on there are literally robbery.
I watch the US auctions just to see what's being sold and for how much
(Weird since I live in the UK).
Ebay has really taken off in the US with people selling tooling and
machinery, the ones for the UK and Australia are laughable! If I lived in
the US you would not want to see my garage, I would have machines stacked
into every single square centimetre of floor space. Here in the UK you do it
all the old way and actually go to a real auctions and feel up the
machinery. Still though, I could buy a used Bridgeport in the US for less
than I'd spend on bench top lathe here. Some of it might be junk, but some
isn't all.
Waiting for the UK Ebay to start handing out 'free' machinery,
John H.
