You're going to need at least a P90 to be happy with the EMC.

The EMC doesn't support macros, subroutines, or parametric programming (yet).
If your algorithm can output G code then the EMC can run it regardless of
length (up to the size of your hard drive). I'm also not sure if the EMC is
going to be able to control your U and V axis without some changes.

The most practical way to load Linux is using a CD, so this is a limitation
for an EMC based system as well.
