Chris,

My sentiments exactly. "mousing" around as you're trying to recover
from a bad situation is NOT "a good thing"... And if you've
been "trained" to use the mouse, you won't know where the keys are!

A mouse has its' place, but the critical controls of a cnc machine is
not one of them, IMO. There'sa reason the "commercial controls don't
use mice (and have fixed postions for critical functions)

Looks like open source COULD lead to "open sores"<G>

P.P.S. At the very minimum, a "mousable" control should put "focus"
on an appropriate "button" during operation;i.e., feedhold, estop.
Even better, it should ALSO enable an easily "hit" key, like ESC, or
the spacebar, or "any key"...
