TypeMatic Rate

Folks:

I've added some functionality to my copy of TurboCNC which allows the user
to change the repeat rate to improve the keyboard jogging.

I'd like to change this keyrate only when the jogging screen is visible. Not
a difficult task, but how does one determine the CURRENT typematic rate so
that you can return to the original value once you either exit the program
or leave the jogging screen?

BTW, having the source code available makes all of this possible.
