Actually what he meant was that if you use IE5 to view a web page, and that
web page contains malicious browser commands (generally involving ActiveX
controls), then the web site operator can gain some access to your computer
through IE5. What the actual exposure is I don't know, and I wouldn't lose
any sleep over it, but I believe it is essentially true.

The strange thing is, I use Netscape 3.0 Gold (1996) and I see your page just
fine. I think one time I did get a Java error loading one of the Hover
buttons (fphover.class), but it was a one time occurrence and I have loaded
your home page numerous times (IE3 worked OK too). I'm not sure what's going
on, but there's another data point for you.

Me personally? I'm pretty much a minimalist where it comes to web pages, so
I'd probably lose the hover buttons, but that's just me. The content on your
site is GREAT! (and content is the real point of web pages anyway!) The
balance of your site is 100% minimalist (neutral background, simple fonts,
and nice use of thumbnail images as links to larger graphics files). Normally
I wouldn't stick my nose in this discussion, but I hope you don't get miffed
and unsubscribe the list on account of the criticism you've received
regarding your page. I enjoy your posts and I certainly believe you are in
the company of fellow experimenters on CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO.
