Motor

I found a NEMA 34 8-wire stepper in a photo-typesetting
machine that is listed (USM Corp. 1600 steps per rev.,
10 Ohms per phase. No voltage or amp. What should I try
to operate it at? This must be a precision low speed motor?
Thanks
MS
