Speed - Parallel vs serial ( was Re: Motor

Is there a relationship for calculation for the speed difference ?

I am replacing some NEMA23's double stack with some NEMA34's, single
stack. both 200 step/rev.

The NEMA23's worked fine, but I need to put them in a tight place
where the 34 is too big.

TurboCNC on my 486-100 reports 11,000hz as the maximum reliable
speed. and I had been running the 23's at 10k.

also, any easy way to determine how to wire in series? currently the
8 wire 34's are wired in parallel.
