Ken,

From personal experience you can run the BDI on a 166MHz box, I ran it on an
133 laptop for a while. You can create the necessary boot floppies from the
CD, the tools are included on the BDI cd. I don't remember what directory
they are in, but I have done this from the original BDI cd.

Running on a 166MHz computer will limit you to steppermod.o for your
steppers and will limit the maximum speeds you can get from the system. It
can be done and will give you a functional platform but not the greatest
performance.
