Does this Compq have onboard graphics ?
If you can find some extra memory, bung it in. Another 16M would be great.

[Note to self - Pack some S3 cards]

If anyone else is planning to bring victims (/backspace) computers, even if
you don't have a CDROM drive that will boot, or even none at all, we can
install from a floppy boot disk and a network. Splash out on a cheap network
card - RealTek 8029 or 8139 are great and shouldn't cost more than $10-15.
