Denford Triac Milling Machine

Hello all,
I'm new to this group and hope you might be able to help me.
I bought this machine a few weeks ago and am really impressed with
its construction, it's ballscrew on all axes and has spindle speed
control via software through a phase inverter - dead solid. The
problem is I can't get any comms set up despite following the
instructions in the manual, Its comms section is slighly non-
standard I think, despite claiming to be rs232-c. So, does anyone
have experience in getting it to talk to a PC and if so, how is it
done?
