I hope this is not too far off topic. I have a digital camera that came with
a SanDisk flash memory card and an IDE adaptor. Shortly after I got it, I
tried pulling the SanDisk card out of the adaptor while the computer was
running, and it destroyed about 16 .DLL files in my Windows system.
I mostly recovered from backups, but it was a great big mess to get all
my applications software working again. If yours suffers from the same
limitation, this would make it a lot more cumbersome to carry CNC
programs around with a flash card. You'd have to shut TWO systems down
every time you moved the card.
