No, it's definitely not the machine structure. The G61 (exact path mode)
solved the problem. EMC apparently defaults to G64 (continuous mode) where
the controller tries to smooth out the motion for contours made up of
straight line segments. I understand there is a place in the emc.ini file
for initialization codes, I need to put the G61 in that section.
