I've manually programmed CNC's for years, now I do most of my programming using the Dolphin system, no need to draw any toolpaths, no need to edit CNC code, it has lots of different machining strategies you can use.
It has an excellent cad system, but you can bypass this totally and import a dxf straight into the Cam module if you wish.

It's very well supported by Dolphin, and also several members of this list.
