Just looked up the cable requirements for HP Plotters serial connection as
shown in the AutoCad 10 manual. I use this on my 7585 E plotter.
plotter end to computer end ( both DB-25 connectors) Is different for the 9
pin serial connector.
2-----------------3
3-----------------2
7-----------------7
on the plotter end connect
4 to 5
6 to 20
On the computer end connect
4 to 5
6 to 20
On the 7475 set the switches
B1 0
B2 1
B3 0
B4 1
S1 1
S2 0
D-Y to D (7470 & 7475 only)
set computer comm settings to 9600, 7 data bits 1 stop bit even parity
You should be able to copy a HP plot file to the plotter.
I have been able to use Hyperterm in Win 9X to type and send commands to the
plotter.
I believe that the HP web site has a slightly different cable pin out for
using HP plotters and system devices.

sister site to the CCED group, as many of the same members are there, for OT
subjects, that are not allowed on the CCED list.
