  This is the state they should be in if the Geckos are not receiving 
step signals. Did you use the software to command movement? If you
did and the motors didn't turn you may have the parallel port pins
hooked up wrong. Another possibility is that you do not have +5
volts from your PC connected to the appropriate (I forget which one)
pin on the Gecko. These are easy problems to diagnose.
