Martin timing belt: how to connect ends????

Hi,
I just got some timing pulleys and a length of new white timing belt
3/8" pitch ~3/4" wide ( metal strand reinforced like a radial tire)
and I was wondering how to connect the ends to make the belt to the
size I want. Its currently 9feet of belt stock
( ie 2 ends unconnected ).
