You will work freqmod a bit hard with this combination of input scale and max
velocity. (23k ppr) As for running TNG, I've got it on a 266 laptop, a
P2-400 and the Cyrix 800. There is a noticable difference in the rate of
refresh and the responsiveness of the 800.

Contact me off list if you want to go through the trouble that you are having
with the BDI.
