I have two OBVIOUS suggestions: First, read the "white paper" supplied wth
the G210 drives you have (I did, more than once!).

Second: Mariss?????????????

I am about half done with a home-brew PLOTTER using KML061 Superior Electric
motors and G210 drives, my first to try. When done, I will try it eight
ways, including the same "rapid reverse" that works fine with the older
unipolar system I have used before. OH! The two identical lathes I built
using KML092 steppers AND the Superior Electric SS2000 dual-drives and
power-supply in ONE box work fine, and those are bipolar/chopper. NEVER any
skipped or "found" steps! But if the Gecko drives will work just as good,
they would be considerably more economical.

All my (old) self-written software and "CNC" machines use "two phase inputs",
that is, both CW and CCW inputs, NOT "STEP and DIRection" as does the G210.
Mariss was kind enough to send me a simple S-R lashup using a 74HC02, to
convert CW and CCW into S/D. HOWEVER, the D-change was SIMULTANEOUS with the
Step-change, so I added a whiz-bang RC between the S output and another gate,
and that "slows down" the S out until D settles. Per said G210 requirements
per "white paper"!!!

I will, of course, report on the behaviour of this little plotter when done!
