Yes, maybe. it would certainly be worth trying. But, for hardened beds,
the work goes very slowly even with a big (2 x 6") stone. It is a kind of
lapping process more than a grinding process. By that I mean that the
abrasive is entrained in the oil layer, and the stone doesn't really touch
the bed much, if at all. Very small adjustments might work, but I think
it would be too slow for anything like scraping work. I wish I had a Biax
scraper!
