If it has 2 circuits, it probably already IS preloaded.
The one concern is bowing of the screw, as it is a bit small for this
length. If you can put the entire screw under tension with the angular
contact end bearings, it should eliminate the bowing, but it will put the
table (or whatever it is mounted to) under compressive loads. I suspect
you'd have some backlash introduced by bowing/flexing of the screw
unless you do this. Otherwise, it should work fairly well. the small
diameter ballscrew might suffer accelerated wear, but it might serve
you many years in hobby use.
