Where are these on sale? You think they might be tempted to lower the price
for a group buy? `.^)

There's a bunch of 6-axis ABB IRB 6000 robots with S3 controllers
available in the UK for about £1000 each which I'm thinking might be
suitable for doing large carvings in wood or stone.
I don't know what type of servo motors are on these, if they could be
driven directly by Gecko's I'd be tempted to get one. Otherwise, as
the control cabinets need lots of 3-phase power, it might just be
more trouble than it's worth.
I'm using Mach1 and custom scripting to control a 5-axis mill, I
think the same approach should be able to control a 6-axis robot.
